Chrysovalantou Milliou is a Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (School of Economic Sciences, Depart. of International & European Economic Studies), specialized in Industrial Organization and in the Economics of Competition Policy. She serves as a Full Member of the Board of the Hellenic Competition Commission. She is also a Research Fellow at the CESifo (Munich, Germany). She has been a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at the Department of Economics of Columbia University (NY, USA) and a Visiting Researcher at the Toulouse School of Economics (France). She was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2003 – 2007). She served as an Alternate Member of the Board of the Hellenic Competition Committee (2012 -2017). She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) under the supervision of Massimo Motta, after completing her Masters in Economics at Tufts University (MA, USA). She has published numerous articles in international peer-refereed academic journals, such as the Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Canadian Journal of Economics, Economics Letters. She has delivered invited seminars at universities and research centers worldwide, she has presented her research work in numerous international conferences, and she has delivered training programs for policy authorities and judges on competition policy issues.
