Vasileios Vasdekis is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). After his first degree in Mathematics (Mathematics Department, University of Athens, 1988), he read for his M.Sc. in Applied Statistics (St. Peter's College, University of Oxford, 1989). He completed his D.Phil in Statistics in 1993 (St. Peter's College, University of Oxford). His first position was in the Department of Psychology, University of Crete (1994-1998) and from 1999 up to know in the Department of Statistics, AUEB. His research interests are in discrete and continuous multivariate longitudinal data, in latent variable modeling, in inference using composite likelihoods and the analysis of controlled clinical trials.
