Farmakis Timoleon

Timoleon is a researcher, consultant and project manager at the E-Business Research Center (ELTRUN) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He has actively participated in various international and national projects and industrial surveys such as the "Technology and Beyond Survey" (Grant Thorton), "The Digital Readiness of Small Businesses Survey in Greece " (Cosmote) and "The Diffusion of Artificial Intelligence in Firms Survey" (OECD-INSEAD-BCG). His academic portfolio includes an Integrated Master in Civil Engineering with a focus on Engineering Project Management and Intelligent Transportation Systems from the University of Patras, complemented by an M.Sc. in Smart and Sustainable Infrastructures and another M.Sc. specialising in the Digital Transformation of Smart Cities from the National Technical University of Athens. As a graduate student, Timoleon participated in 2 international exchange programs at the University of Rome III and Politecnico di Milano. Furthermore, he is a PhD candidate in the Department of Management Science and Technology, specializing in digital transformation, AI, and innovation within business contexts. Besides his research work, Timoleon is also involved in education. He has taught courses on digital transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship, business modelling and planning, data analytics, IS management and digital marketing.
