Maria Menounou is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens. She holds a Master's degree in Tax Law from Middlesex University of London. She has served as Director for the Implementation of Property Taxation & Asset Register at the Ministry of Finance and the IAPR for more than 15 years. She has participated, as chairman and member, in committees for the reform of property taxation, computerization of such taxes and codification of tax legislation for more than 35 years. She is a tax consultant on property taxation and the tax procedure. She is a lecturer for more than 30 years, mainly on real estate tax issues, in workshops and seminars organized by financial and accounting bodies etc.. She is a certified trainer at the National Centre for Public Administration and she is trained in teaching adults. In the past she was a trainer at the Training School of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Academy of the IAPR.
