Elpida Efstathiou is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Marketing and Communication of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She also holds a master's degree from the same department. Recently, she participated in a research project conducted by the University of the Aegean in collaboration with the Athens University of Economics and Business, funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation, focusing on consumer data protection and personalized online advertising.
Additionally, as a research associate of the Academy of Athens, she has contributed to research on the economic crisis and its impact on the middle class of Greek society, as well as on the healthcare system. She has received an honorary distinction, specifically the award for the best poster presentation at a conference of the Hellenic Society on Crisis Management in the Health Sector. She has also worked in the Public Relations Division of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
She is a member of the Greek Marketing Academy, and her main research interests include digital marketing and consumer privacy issues on the internet.
