Efrosini Siougle is Head of the Advisory and Compliance Department of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA), where she has been working as a specialist since 1999. She holds a BSc in Informatics (1996), an MSc in Information Systems (1998) and a PHD in quality certification and data protection (2018) from the Department of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She is a postdoctoral researcher at AUEB, specializing in corporate certifications and data protection. She represents the HDPA in sub-groups of the European Data Protection Board and has participated in numerous data protection and security investigations and audits, conferences, seminars, committees, training programs and projects. She has published articles in international scientific journals and conferences, and has served as a reviewer. She is teaching the subject of data protection at academic institutions and the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government.
