Short Overview
This dynamic course is designed to improve both written and spoken English fluency and enhance personal performance through communication & interaction to boost students' confidence and adequacy. Each unit is structured on theory and exercises aimed at improving speech elements, offering tips and suggestions to eliminate weaknesses regarding the structure and organization of documents, and analysing & discussing texts and/or proposals that business executives are asked to present and negotiate. A variety of texts with numerous practical applications exposes students to different types of readings, thus supporting the use of English in topics that business executives need to address daily.
Learning Goals
The program reinforces the rhetorical skills of business employees & improves the structure, organization and drafting of their presentations. It adheres to international writing practices for the efficient production of individual and collaborative projects in professional contexts. It is guided by the needs and practices of business executives. Furthermore, it encourages the correct use of the conventions of the English language (grammar, syntax, and mechanics as required in these presentations). Participants will be guided to craft written and spoken language ethically, for multiple audiences, in a variety of professional situations.
