Dr. Vasiliki Brinia is a lecturer in the Department of Informatics, specifically in the Teacher Education Program at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds two Bachelor's degrees (BSc) and a Master's degree (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, a Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogical Studies, a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling and Guidance, a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Education, and a Post-Doctorate in Adult Education. She has received training in adult education using innovative methods in training programs in Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Dr. Brinia has been teaching for several years in postgraduate programs such as the MSc "Adult Education" and the Postgraduate Program "Sciences of Education" at the Hellenic Open University. She has designed two training programs at the OPA and the EAP. Specifically, in 2010, she designed the Teacher Education Program at the Athens University of Economics and Business, incorporating educational innovations. Its structure and operation are based on the principles of adult education. In 2018, she designed the Program of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence (PDE) for the School of Social Sciences at the Hellenic Open University, also based on the principles of adult education.
Actively involved in Adult Education since 1994, both scientifically and as an adult educator, Dr. Brinia has conducted numerous training hours at universities, IEK, DIEK, KEK, colleges, and in-house trainings. For a decade, she served as the scientific director of the adult education programs at the KEK of the Hellenic Trade Development Centre (KAELE). Additionally, she has been a certified adult educator since 2001 (Decision 171/13-12-2001 of EKEPIS)-AM. 400466-Register A, and in 2006 (Board Decision 380/23-11-2006 and Board Decision 417/9-8-2007 of EOPPEP)-AM EB00466-Register B.
Dr. Brinia has an extensive research and writing background in Greece and abroad, having authored numerous scientific papers, including works on adult education. Finally, she participates as a member of distinguished scientific journals.
