Markos Ollandezos studied Business Administration & Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business and Health Economics at the National School of Public Health. In 2012 he received his PhD from the School of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace. From 2001 to 2019 he was a research associate at the Department of Health Economics of the National School of Public Health, with research work, lecturing, co-authorship and publications in international journals and conferences. From 2000 to 2004 he was the managing director and member of the board of SOS IATROI SA, an at-home medical services provider. From 2004 he holds the position of Director of Scientific Affairs of the Panhellenic Union of Pharmaceutical Industries (PEF), the institutional body of the Greek pharmaceutical industry, with the task of documenting positions and analysing and formulating policy proposals.
As a representative of the Greek pharmaceutical industry, he gained experience in planning, consultation and implementation of pharmaceutical policy, especially during the period of the Memoranda and fiscal adjustment. He is a member of the market access working group of the association of European manufacturing pharmaceutical companies -Medicines for Europe, representing PEF. Since 2016, member of the Independent Certification Board of the EKAPTY. From March 2021 to February 2023, representative of SEV on the board of directors of EOPYY. Since 2016, he teaches Health Economics in the MSc International Medicine - Health Crisis Management at EKPA and since September 2022 he collaborates with the UoA-MBA of EKPA as a lecturer in the course of Pharmacoeconomics.
