Mariliza Chronea is an actress, performer, theatre education instructor. She has participated in performances of various theatre genres: ancient drama, classical, contemporary, dance theatre, musical theatre, performance, street theatre, playback theatre, for adults and children. She retrained in physical theatre and improvisational butoh dance as well as interactive playback theatre which has a drama therapy dimension. Since 2001 she has been working steadily as an actor with theatre groups in Athens. She coordinates adult groups and designs and animates pedagogical programmes and thematic theatre games. In collaboration with publishing houses she has undertaken book presentations. She has collaborated with the American artist Eve Sussman and the Rufus Corporation and with Claude Krespin at the Cultural Olympiad 2004. As a graduate in Civil Engineering, she has been a structural engineer and has worked on the ISO system. She designs activities that connect art with the natural world and science. She is currently performing at the Ilisia Theatre with "A Midsummer Night's Dream" directed by Dr. D. Adamis and with the Plan Bee group in the performance "SuperWoman".
