Georgia Siougle is Georgia Siougle is Vice Rector for Research and Lifelong Learning of the Athens University of Economics and Business and Professor in Accounting at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She holds a B.A. in Business Administration, an MSc in Banking and Finance and a Ph.D. in Accounting from AUEB. Her teaching interests are in the areas of Financial Accounting, Strategic Business Reporting, and in Financial Statement Analysis. Her research interests include, IFRS disclosures, Equity Offerings and Investments. She has published extensively in major international scientific journals, including the Review of Accounting Studies, the International Journal of Accounting, the Journal of Futures Markets, and the European Accounting Review. During her Ph.D. studies she received an EU Marie Curie Fellowship from the University of Manchester. She is a member of the European Accounting Association and The Marie Curie Fellowship Association. She began her career as assistant certified auditor at Arthur Andersen (Greece).
