Andreas D. Konstantakopoulos holds more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of high-risk negotiations, both as a negotiator as well as a specialized trainer of selected negotiating team members of the Hellenic and the Cyprus Police. In addition, he has worked as Coordinator of the Negotiating Team of the Hellenic Police.
As Head Negotiator he has managed numerous cases.
In 2018 he cooperated with the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) where he offered his services as head Negotiator and crisis management Responsible and thus contributed to the smooth completion of the project, early on dealing with possible social unrest in the region of Eastern Macedonia.
Currently, he offers his technical know-how and expertise in the Greek market.
People are the center of his profession.
Having worked for many years as an Investigating Officer in violent interpersonal crimes (murders, rapes, etc.), he has discovered the power of communication and interpretation of body language in the interrogation process, and in turn the ability to comprehend and gain messages from all that is not being said. During the same period he discovered his great interest for training and since then he has significantly developed his career as a trainer.
Later on he was trained as a Negotiator from the FBI and the New Scotland Yard and he thus developed a high level of expertise. Through the numerous incidents he has handled and through observing the everyday life around him he has come to the conclusion that although we talk to one another we do not communicate with each other, which has led us to meaningless personal relationships and social unhappiness.
During the same period he completed two training courses on mental health promotion and the development of psychosocial skills at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens. His training in 'Effective Communication and Neuro-Linguistic Programming' at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, in parallel with his interest on personal development, and his training on 'The Axiological Model in Counselling' also from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, have led him to discover the potential that people hold but do not utilize and focuses on supporting people take advantage of them so that they can hold successful ‘self negotiations’, which set the initiating point of every success.
Since 2016, when the Negotiators’ Association of Greece (ENDIE) was founded, he has been the President of its Board of Directors.
