Andreas D. Konstantakopoulos holds more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of high-risk negotiations, both as a negotiator as well as a specialized trainer of selected negotiating team members of the Hellenic and the Cyprus Police. In addition, he has worked as Coordinator of the Negotiating Team of the Hellenic Police.

As Head Negotiator he has managed numerous cases, including the hijacking of a Turkish aircraft at Athens International Airport, the cases of the kidnappings of businessman Mylonas Georgiou and ship-owner Panagopoulos Periklis, as well as the hostage-taking of fourteen people during the robbery of the National Bank in Piraeus.

Currently, he offers his technical know-how and expertise in the Greek market.

People are the center of his profession

Having worked for many years as an Investigating Officer in violent interpersonal crimes (murders, rapes, etc.), he has discovered the power of communication and interpretation of body language in the interrogation process, and in turn the ability to comprehend and gain messages from all that is not being said. During the same period he discovered his great interest for training and since then he has significantly developed his career as a trainer.

Later on he was trained as a Negotiator from the FBI and the New Scotland Yard and he thus developed a high level of expertise. Through the numerous incidents he has handled and through observing the everyday life around him he has come to the conclusion that although we talk to one another we do not communicate with each other, which has led us to meaningless personal relationships and social unhappiness.

During the same period he completed two training courses on mental health promotion and the development of psychosocial skills at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens. His training in 'Effective Communication and Neuro-Linguistic Programming' at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, in parallel with his interest on personal development, and his training on 'The Axiological Model in Counselling' also from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, have led him to discover the potential that people hold but do not utilize and focuses on supporting people take advantage of them so that they can hold successful ‘self negotiations’, which set the initiating point of every success.

Since 2016, when the Negotiators’ Association of Greece (ENDIE) was founded, he has been the President of its Board of Directors

He is a negotiations, communication and body language Trainer, certified by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP). Since 2012 he has been the Lecturer of “Certificate In Negotiation” course offered by Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). In addition, he is a member of the Studies Committee and a Lecturer at the postgraduate program on “Psychosomatic Health Counseling” of IST College - in collaboration with California Metropolitan University

With his unique personal style he shares his knowledge and the 'small' but important elements that make the difference in negotiation and which create 'big' results.

His challenging professional reality and personality have led him to choose the human-centered approach of non-violent conflict resolution and to focus with passion to negotiation.

He believes and supports the saying of Andre Breton, "Human is the answer, whatever the question is".

As Senior Trainer & Coach of AK Training (aktraining.gr) and keeping the balance between educational techniques and the human – centered approach, he trains participants on skills and techniques which are applied with great success in high-risk negotiations, and which help people improve their negotiation competencies, transforming their professional and personal lives. Leading to excellent results.
