Associate Professor in Marketing and Business Administration, University of Bergamo
Argyro Elisavet Manoli is an Associate Professor in Marketing and Management in the University of Bergamo in Italy. She graduated from the Department of Accounting and Finance of the Athens University of Economics and Business (2008). She obtained a Master of Business Administration in Football Industries with a scholarship, from the University of Liverpool (2009) and a PhD in Integrated Marketing Communications in Football with a scholarship, from the University of Teesside (2017). She has taught on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Loughborough University (Sport Management, Sport Integrity, Sport Marketing and Communication) and Teesside University (Strategic Business Management, Sport Marketing) and has lectured on postgraduate programmes at the Universities of Malmo, Sweden, and Liverpool and Coventry, England, and on the PhD programme at the University of Pavia. Prof. Manoli has also taught on Executive Education programmes at Loughborough University, Barcelona FC and FIFA. She has published 42 articles in highly-esteemed peer-reviewed international journals, such as the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Strategic Marketing, European Sport Management Quarterly and Sport Management Review. She was awarded the Emerald Publishing 2018 Highly Commended Award for her work. Prof Manoli has published two books for Routledge and a research report on the European Union. She has presented her research to the European Parliament and has been a member of the European Commission's Expert Group on Sport Integrity. She is a Scientific Track Chair of the European Association of Sport Management and has organised one of its conferences in 2021 in collaboration with the University of Ghent. Her research interests focus on Marketing and Communication Management of Sport and Good Governance in Sport.
