Short Overview
The program covers the entire spectrum of project management processes, providing a detailed guide for the development and implementation of a comprehensive project execution plan. In this context, trainees are trained in the following:
  • writing a business case
  • preparing a project brief
  • developing a project plan, i.e. determining the tasks required (Work Breakdown Structure), creating a feasible schedule, determining the resources required, drafting the project budget)
  • developing the organizational structure and the roles assigned to the participating organizations/institutions/employees
  • determining the time and methods of controlling the progress of a project
  • developing a plan to manage the changes required in an organization for the implementation of a project or the integration/use of its products (Change Management Approach)
  • developing a communication plan with the stakeholdres (Communications Management Approach)
  • developing a plan for the management and exploitation of the benefits arising from the products of a project (Benefits Management Approach)
  • developing a plan for the identification and management of the potential risks of a project (Risk Management Approach)
  • developing a plan for the management of the impacts of a project on the external environment (Sustainability Management Approach)
  • developing approach to controlling the quality of project products (Quality Management Approach)
  • identifying control points and evaluating the progress of a project (exceptions/exception report)
  • the identification and management of issues (e.g., exceptions) that arise during the execution of the project (Issues Management)
  • the development of tools for monitoring a project (daily log, project log, risk registry, issues registry, etc.)
Learning Goals
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to:
  • Document the business feasibility of a project (Business Justification)
  • Identify the tasks required by a project
  • Develop all categories of project plans (Project Plan, Stage Plan, Team Plan, Exception Plan)
  • Define and assign roles and responsibilities to participants
  • Develop plans for achieving and utilizing the benefits of a project
  • Manage the issues and risks of a project effectively
  • Develop a communication plan with all participating stakeholders
  • Determine the method of implementing a project and determine the phases of the project life cycle
  • Identify and manage changes in an organization that a project brings about
  • Identify project control points
  • Develop the quality management plan for the project products (Quality Management Approach)
  • Develop the appropriate culture in the project management and execution team
  • Record and manage the knowledge/experiences acquired during the implementation of the project
Program Value
The proposed program provides participants with the basic knowledge and contributes to the development of the required skills for effective project management in practice in any business or organization. After completing the program, participants will be able to participate in project management in businesses/organizations and further enhance their proficiency in this subject through the acquisition of the international PRINCE2 Foundation certification.

Evaluation Method And Final Grade Computation
Evaluation and the final exam are based on an examination using the educational platform and a final project.
Learning Method Description
The program uses the Blended Learning educational method, therefore teaching is done partly asynchronously and partly synchronously, as follows:
  • The asynchronous part takes place on days and times that serve the trainee, exclusively remotely (using a special educational platform via the internet and a PC from the trainee's location) and includes 24 hours.
  • The modern part is done through 6 teleconferences, totaling 12 hours, for the parts of the material that require learning with a strong element of interactivity.

Vocational Education and Training Certificate
Trainees who successfully complete the program are granted a Vocational Education and Training Certificate of the Center for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Athens University of Economics and Business, which is accompanied by a Supplement to the Certificate, detailing the subject of the program, the thematic units attended by the trainee , as well as the training methodology followed.

Target Audience
The program is aimed at those who seek to get involved or are involved in project management in the private or public sector. The course material is a practical guide to project management in businesses and organizations based on the international PRINCE2 standard. It introduces participants to the basic processes of Project Management and trains them in the execution of the basic responsibilities/tasks required for the effective management of any project based on a set of best practices, methods, and templates. In detail, the trainees learn how to manage projects in practice using appropriate tools and practices with particular emphasis on developing plans, forming organizational models, monitoring and controlling work, managing communication with the involved bodies and managing the quality and risks of a project. No work experience or cognitive background is required for inclusion in the proposed program. The program provides the opportunity for those who successfully complete it to take exams for the international Project Management certification "PRINCE2 Foundation".

No prerequisite knowledge required.
Cost
BLENDED LEARNING: 650€
Installements
The tuition fee of 650 euros is divided into three installments. The first installment, of 200 euros, must be paid before registering for the program, the second, of 200 euros, before completing half of the program and the last, of 250 euros, before completing the program. In case of a discount, the first installment-deposit equals 200€ and the amounts of the remaining installments become 200 euros and 120 euros respectively.
Trainees are informed of the installment amounts and related deadlines via email upon their acceptance into the program.
