Marketing and Citizens’ Society

Short Overview
The aim of the program is to offer participants the basic theoretical knowledge, skills and practical tools that will help them understand the role and contribution of Marketing to the Society of Citizens and design and implement optimal marketing strategies and tactics. More specifically, the program focuses on how the different tools of the marketing strategy of any organization operating within the Society of Citizens can be applied in such a way to have a positive impact in its long-term survival in the market. Particular emphasis is placed on presenting case studies from Greek and international markets. The program will have the guidance of K3, an organization whose mission is to help any individual that suffers from cancer to improve his/her life conditions and aid both this individual and his/her family on the basis of an open, sincere and respectful guidance and co-operation. Its role in the program is based on providing scientific advice regarding its educational design and communication along with providing lectures by its specialized personnel.
Learning Goals
After completing the program, participants will be able to understand:
  • The basic concepts and tools that are related to the role and contribution of Marketing to the Society of Citizens.
  • How to effectively communicate a social activity.
  • How to solve real Marketing problems in their own working environment.
Program Value
The value of the program lies on the increasing need of a) organizations belonging in the Society of Citizens to adopt the principles of Marketing, and b) professionals working in this field to acquire the necessary Marketing skills and capabilities.
Weekly Schedule

Regarding the modern distance teaching method, this will take place in the afternoon hours (17.00-21.00). as follows: 12-12-2023, 13-12-2023, 14-12-2023, 19-12-2023, 20-12-2023.

Regarding the modern distance personalized-individual teaching that will concern the preparation of the individual work, this will be carried out in consultation with each participant during the months of January-February 2024. The presentations of the work will take place through a modern living format evening hours (17.00-21.00) on one day within the month of February 2024.

Teaching Material
The educational material includes live presentations, group exercises, case studies, e-slides and video presentations.
Learning Method Description
The trainees participate through Live Streaming from the place of their choice. This method provides the following advantages:
  • Education without geographical restrictions.
  • The possibility to ask the instructor questions.
  • Online availability of the educational material of the program (the entire educational material is offered free of charge).

Hours of live training: 30
Includes training hours with classroom, laboratory, or remote (via live streaming) instruction along with any breaks.
Additional hours of employment: 30
Additional hours of work are included (indicative) and may include individual study, writing assignments, participation in field visits, participation in exams, etc.
Total hours: 60
The total hours include hours of synchronous and asynchronous training, as well as additional hours of employment.
Weeks of training: 10
Weeks in which activities of any kind are planned are included.
Vocational Education and Training Certificate
Trainees who successfully complete the program are granted a Vocational Education and Training Certificate of the Center for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Athens University of Economics and Business, which is accompanied by a Supplement to the Certificate, detailing the subject of the program, the thematic units attended by the trainee , as well as the training methodology followed.
Prerequisite Knowledge
There are no prerequisite knowledge or experience deemed necessary to understand and follow this program. Also, interested parties do not need to provide any supporting documents.

Mode And Frequency Of Communication
The communication of the trainees with the Scientific Manager and the trainers of the program can be carried out during the teaching and via email as many times as the trainees themselves wish.
Trainees are informed of the installment amounts and related deadlines via email upon their acceptance into the program.
