Short Overview

When a crisis "hits," even the best executives can be caught off guard. Prepare to act decisively with our Certificate in Crisis Management (CriMa). Ideal for both experienced executives and aspiring managers, this intensive 6 module (11 weeks or 2.5 months) program synthesizes over 30 years of research on various crises into an effective crisis preparedness framework. CriMa offers practical skills that will help you to:

Learning Goals
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees will be able to:
  • Recognize an upcoming crisis and assess the impact
  • Develop a comprehensive Crisis Management Plan for a business
  • Analyse operational preparedness for crisis response and improve existing plans
  • Set up effective crisis management teams
  • Communicate crisis response strategy to stakeholders
  • Present crisis management plans and/or management protocols to stakeholder groups
  • Build alliances to enable their implementation.
Program Value
Through CriMa, participants (1) acquire the appropriate mindset in preparing for and managing a crisis and (2) gain the knowledge in developing plans, procedures, protocols, outlining steps to deal with existing and/or future crises.
Teaching Material

Each module includes a series of short videos, slides, self-assessment tests, activities, and additional materials. Trainees can watch them at any time and as many times as they wish within the time limits. The training material includes:

  • Talks by entrepreneurs and executives
  • Self-assessment tests

Evaluation Method And Final Grade Computation
At the end of the program, the trainees will be evaluated through an online knowledge test of all the material. Successful completion of the program and award of a training certificate requires a final grade of at least 50%.
Learning Method Description
The program uses the eLearning educational method: learning takes place purely asynchronously (that is, on days and hours that serve the trainee, without mandatory attendance at a specific time or day), exclusively remotely (using a special educational platform via the internet from the trainee's area) and using digital educational tools such as video lectures, interactive self-assessment exercises, and other elearning tools that ensure effective and flexible individual self-learning. The program's training material becomes available at specific time periods, based on the training path followed, and then remains available on the training platform without restrictions throughout the duration of the program.

Vocational Education and Training Certificate
Trainees who successfully complete the program are granted a Vocational Education and Training Certificate of the Center for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Athens University of Economics and Business, which is accompanied by a Supplement to the Certificate, detailing the subject of the program, the thematic units attended by the trainee , as well as the training methodology followed.

Target Audience

Prerequisite Knowledge
High school diploma and knowledge of English at the B2 level as a minimum.

Mode And Frequency Of Communication
Communication between trainers and trainees is mainly asynchronous, through e-mails and/or personal messages through the training platform. However, a limited number of teleconferences are planned, to resolve questions and related issues.
Cost
ELEARNING: 680€
Installements
The total amount of tuition is €680 and is paid in three installments. The first installment, of €300, is paid as an advance payment before the start of the courses, to secure the position, and the other two, of €200 and €180, are paid during the program. In the event of a discount, the above amounts are reduced proportionally. Especially in the case of a 20% discount, the above amounts are €544 (total amount), €250 (first installment - advance payment), €194 (second installment) and €100 (third installment).
Trainees are informed of the installment amounts and related deadlines via email upon their acceptance into the program.
