Short Overview
Training and certification in matters of Corporate Governance regarding the operation of Financial Firms. Compliance of Financial Firms to training requirements pursuant to legal framework (Law 4261/2014, EBA Guidelines).
Learning Goals
The program helps the trainees to:
  • Better understand their administrative or executive duties in their work (e.g. as an executive or an employee in a bank)
  • Get trained more adequately in aspects of business action and provision of services to the clients (e.g. banking, investing, corporate actions, shareholder information etc).
  • Enforce their competitivity in job market.
  • Obtain specialization and know-how in matters related to his professional exercise (e.g. lawyer, business consultant)
Program Value
The program:
  • Contributes to meeting the compliance obligations of Financial Firms according to legislation in force.
  • Provides specialization and expertise to executives of the market in order to enforce their appropriateness during the provision of services in the financial and wider business sector.
  • Provides motivation to businesses for the training of their management and employee staff in the direction of corporate culture and transparency.
  • Provides professional certification in matters of regulation and operation in the corporate and financial sector.
Evaluation Method And Final Grade Computation
A minimum 15 hours of training using electronic educational material and multiple-choice exercises based on a Comprehension-Practice Question Bank (200 questions) is mandatory. The final exam comprises 30 multiple-choice questions, lasting 1 hour (60'), with a 60% success rate (possibility of re-examination).
Learning Method Description
The program uses the eLearning educational method: learning takes place purely asynchronously (that is, on days and hours that serve the trainee, without mandatory attendance at a specific time or day), exclusively remotely (using a special educational platform via the internet from the trainee's area) and using digital educational tools that ensure effective and flexible individual self-learning. The program's training material becomes available at specific time periods, based on the training path followed, and then remains available on the training platform without restrictions throughout the duration of the program.

Vocational Education and Training Certificate
Trainees who successfully complete the program are granted a Vocational Education and Training Certificate of the Center for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Athens University of Economics and Business, which is accompanied by a Supplement to the Certificate, detailing the subject of the program, the thematic units attended by the trainee , as well as the training methodology followed.

  • Service officers of financial companies, such as officers of internal control services, risk management, regulatory compliance, legal services, financial department services, investment service sector services, banking services, collective investment sector services, special shareholder service & communication services, publicity & announcement services, etc. .
  • Executives in the wider commercial sector, but also freelance market professionals (such as lawyers, accountants, consultants, etc.)
  • Any other interested person who wishes to specialize in corporate governance in the financial sector.

Cost
ELEARNING: 230€
Installements
The total amount of tuition is €230 and is paid in two installments. The first installment, of €120, is paid as an advance payment before the start of the courses, to secure the place, and the second, of €110, is paid before the program is half completed. In the event of a discount, the above amounts are reduced proportionally. Especially in the case of a 20% discount, the above amounts are €184 (total amount), €120 (first installment - ??advance payment) and €64 (second installment). Trainees are informed of exact deadlines and installment amounts upon acceptance into the program via email.
