Short Overview
Amid the ongoing and significant changes in the country's tax system, the Tax Law for Economists Program aims to present the current tax regulations, delivered by a team of instructors composed of senior officials from the Ministry of Finance as well as distinguished professionals.
The program's success lies in its practical approach - offering real-life applications of tax legislation. Both exams and assignments require trainees to solve practical tax issues.

Learning Goals
The program's objectives are:
- To specialize financial professionals from corporate financial services, freelancers, and accountants in the country's tax legislation.
- To provide excellent training in Tax Law, both in theory and practice.
- To ensure continuous and systematic updates for participants.
Program Value
Through education and training, participants will be able to provide scientifically sound advice and opinions on all tax matters, positioning themselves for careers in auditing firms, corporate financial management/accounting departments, or starting a career as a Tax Accountant.
Weekly Schedule
Classes are held twice a week from 18:00 to 21:30 at the Center facilities of the Athens University of Economics and Business (45 Kefallinias St., 11251 Athens, 1st floor).
Teaching Material
The educational material of the program includes lecture notes and presentation slides, which are fully up to date and developed exclusively by the instructors for the purposes of the program. The educational material also includes recorded lectures, case studies, and exercises solved during the program, as well as self-assessment exercises that are available online on the program's learning platform.
Evaluation Method And Final Grade Computation
The final grade is calculated as the average of performance in written exams and assignments. The passing grade for the exams is 60 out of 100. A score between 60 and 75 is considered "Good", 76 to 90 is "Very Good", and 91 to 100 is "Excellent".
Section Organization
In each of the modules, the relevant laws are examined, and practical applications are designed and implemented for various tax issues, using tax forms and practical exercises. In certain modules, exams are held, focusing on the resolution of practical issues. For each module, supplementary educational material is provided. The educational material includes customized written notes with a comprehensive analysis of legal provisions, administrative solutions, case studies, and solved practical examples. The material is available on a dedicated educational platform, which also includes self-assessment exercises and recorded lectures.
Learning Method Description
Trainees may attend the program in one of two ways: in person or through Live Streaming, which allows participation via an online platform from a location of their choice. The preferred method of attendance is selected in the application.
